Thank You

For D-V on Virtue: I am sorry.

I hope we both learned something from what happened this evening. For me, I learned that I should trust my instincts when it comes to my character's ability to keep a team alive. If I do not think I can do it then that is it, and in the future I will not agree to try it anyway. For you, I hope you learned that you should listen to your team's tanker and healer, to work with your team instead of going it solo, and to bail when a +4 Freakshow Tank is pounding you to pieces when both your team's leader and your team's healer say "run!"

Thank you for your parting comment. I do understand that it is frustrating when a character dies several times in rapid successtion. I had that experience earlier today with a botched Terror Volta Trial (died four times). But taking it out on the team's healer, who was doing the best she damned well could as evidenced by the fact that she ran out of end by firing off continuous healings, is the epitome of poor behaviour.

If you think playing an Empathy Defender is easy then I suggest trying to play one yourself. It is a unique opportunity because nothing in City of Heroes is more challenging than keeping a team up and fighting when everything turns pear-shaped.
