Important Safety Tip: don't cross the IPs

When breaking up a failover cluster, and the last node is expected to remain up with all services running, do not remove the last node from the cluster but instead leave it as a cluster of one node. Otherwise the node will stop responding on the cluster IP address and nobody will be able to use the serverices. Update all of your references to the cluster (DNS, etc) and then shut down the cluster manager.
