I Hate Fedora Core 2

Fedora Core 2, aka FC2. Why do I hate it? Three things.
I set up a new, clean install on my machine at work, and I used LVM because hey, I like it and it was good to me with Red Hat 9. Then there was a kernel update about a month ago, and I installed the kernel... and the volumes would not be mounted. I tried booting the old kernel... and the volumes still would not be mounted. I booted the install media in rescue mode... and the volumes mounted fine. Okay. I dumped off all of the contents of the system drive to a spare disk, remade the volumes... and they still would not mount. Finally, after fighting with this for a day and a half, I wiped the system disk and restored everything on hard partitions. Finally, it worked.
Yesterday, another kernel update. It took six hours to get it because the yum/up2date servers are so hideously overloaded.
Today, yet another kernel update, and it is looking to be more sucktastic to get than yesterday's update.
I do not need this crap.
P.S. MegaZone: after this there is no way in Hell that the next incarnation of rei will run FC2. It will be either RHEL v3 or FreeBSD. I am currently leaning toward FreeBSD because it has PHP v3 in ports which means a hopefully easier migration from the current incarnation.
